A Big Stone "N" Wallpaper

I guess it represented North, but "W" and "S" were nowhere to be found.

about fō-tō-gră-fē

I started this blog to distribute photos I took in desktop wallpaper form. They're usually of macro shots, nature, and a few landscapes.

All of my shots are taken on a Canon EOS 20D with a variety of Canon lenses, and a Panasonic GF1. I'd go bigger if I could tolerate the size.

My work's general philosophy is to take photographs that would be attractive as desktop wallpapers.

My favorite lenses are the Panasonic 20mm F1.7 and the Canon EF-S 60mm F2.8 Macro. Canon's cheap-as-hell 50mm F1.8 is a gem.

My favorite cameras are, tenuously, Panasonic's m4/3 cameras. Sony and Fuji are innovating so quickly, I may be tempted over.

I once liked Canon, but their sheer arrogance and intransigence has pissed me off to no end. I have sold most of my gear.

My Picasa Feed

Go directly to my Picasa feed. You can grab all of my work at the highest resolution at which I uploaded it.

Remember to only download directly through the main gallery. If you try using the download button after clicking on an image, it just displays a lower-resolution version of the picture. Click on the "Belongs to" link to the right of the page, then click on the image you want. That gives you the download button that actually provides the full resolution image. What a pain.

My Flickr Feed

My Flickr feed is less deliberate than my Picasa. Whereas with Picasa I format and crop photos, Flickr is directly hooked up to Lightroom, so I'll frequently just throw up untouched photos that I think are good.
